Alhamdulillah. (Praise be to Allah).

Malaysians who voted for a new government can finally be at ease and smiled (with happiness/ tears),  because our voices has been heard, our prayers has been granted! The new change in governement that had been ruling for more than 61 years has proven for a demand in change of power for a better nation.

People has spoken!

‘We only want to restore the rule of law,’ as said by Tun Mahathir, the representative from Pakatan Harapan, winning majority in the parliament, and automatically forming the new government.

Indeed, Malaysians are looking forward to a nation that takes care of its people, hear the voices of people and restore the rule of the law.

Personally I am excited as being voter for the first time [ya, I know! I should have voted before :)], and this time our history has been changed! I am not a person who gets involve (or interested, rather) in the political world, yet this time I felt it was time to be one responsible Malaysian and went out and voted. And boy, I am so glad I did my part!

In the book industry, we are looking forward to a greater development and support to build up our industry to excel. History has been changed, and that should be documented well in our nation, our library for our next generation to remember this victorious moment.

This change has also proven that ‘impossible’ is not a word that we should hold onto. Being a Muslim, I do not see impossible in any aspects of life, unless when God himself says it is impossible. There is a sentence in the Quran that reads, “Kun fayakun”, that translates, ‘Be! And it comes to be’ 2:117).

This sentence shows the Greatness and the Power that God has, everything is withing his control. The impossible thoughts in our minds can be possible when He wills it to happen.

• Mufti Taqi Usmani:
There has to be a group of people from among you who call towards the good, and bid the Fair and forbid the Unfair. And it is these who are successful.

May the change be for a better nation, better leaders and for the best of Malaysia and its people!

This is truly the power of the rakyat (people). Congratulations Malaysia!
